William L. Smith

William L. Smith, known fondly as Bill, was born on June 14, 1955, in Flint, MI. He passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Lakeview Manor in Tawas City, MI, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and joy.

Bill worked at Wellvance, which many may know as AuSable Valley.

Bill had simple yet delightful interests. He enjoyed baby animals and found peace in going for walks. These activities brought him happiness.

Bill is survived by his brothers, Clifford and Danny; his sisters, Betty, Dorothy, and Rose; his half-sisters, Betty and Shirley; as well as many nieces and nephews who cherished their uncle deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Mary (Boone) Smith.

Bill will be remembered for his warm heart, his love for family, and his cheerful demeanor.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled.
